The two new characters in this year’s Moomin Arabia Classics collection have opposite approaches to life: Excitable Sniff dreams of fame and fortune; the philosophical Muskrat thinks all fuss and excess is useless.

The illustrations of the plate showcase Muskrat, who has fallen to the ground from his favourite spot, a hammock in the garden by the Moominhouse, and his dignity has taken an embarrassing hit. Already tired of the restlessness in Moominhouse, he retreats to solitude in a beach cave where nothing interrupts his thoughts.
