Lýsing

Based on the iconic principle of the reflective System PH developed by Poul Henningsen in 1926, the PH 1/1 Chandelier Centenary Edition, originally known as the Bombardement Chandelier, was originally part of the Louis Poulsen catalogue from 1933 until the mid-1960s.

Poul Henningsen developed the concept for this chandelier so it could be produced in various versions with different numbers of branches, each with a PH 1/1 glass shade set held by a curved arm connected to a central core. The cores stack vertically, allowing space for all the shade sets to be exposed harmoniously. The PH 1/1 Chandelier Centenary Edition features is available with 3, 6, and 9 arms, and comes with an aged brass finish with fine hairlines. Each three-shade set features mouth-blown dusty terracotta-coloured opal glass emitting a soft, diffused and glare-free light. A sculptural centrepiece with historical depth that truly stands out as it draws in a sense of vintage to contemporary living.

The chandeliers are available in limited numbers, 200 pcs. of the 9-armed, 400 pcs. of the 6-armed, and 1000 pcs. of the 3-armed. Each chandelier is carefully engraved with a unique number in gold, making it a true collector’s item to be passed down through generations.

Poul Henningsen

Poul Henningsen
