The Piccolo pattern apron is made of organic cotton, and it is printed in Helsinki. The apron features the Piccolo pattern in two different colors, and it has a front pocket and an adjustable neck band.

In 1953, the very year she joined Marimekko, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric pattern painted with vivid brushstrokes. Three years later, the Jokapoika (every boy) shirt made from the fabric appeared in stores and the streets – for good, it seems.

Made from unbleached cotton, this apron features the Pieni Unikko pattern. The apron has one front pocket, an adjustable neck strap and bands at the waist that can be tied together at the back.

Unikko (poppy), symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekko’s collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints.
