The Christmas Light figurine features a little boy, cosying up next to the tealight that is placed in the little tree stump. To highlight the atmosphere of a forest floor, there is a Christmas-red mushroom. The figure is made of white porcelain, surrounded by different coloured glazes in natural, Nordic shades. Each of Thora Finnsdottir’s ceramic stories features a Christmas message, reflecting her experimental, exploratory approach to form and narrative, in which she draws on the stories and traditions of Kähler’s art and design.
