The dish Arctica is one of the most popular dish series of the traditional ceramic factory Arabia. Inkeri Leivo designed the young classic in 1979. She got the inspiration through the white winter landscapes of Finland, in particular by the wide white areas in Lapland. Therefore, she chose the name Arctica ( Arctic) for her design. The dishes are timeless and can be well combined with the series of Iittala like Kastehelmi or Aino Aalto. The wine glasses of the series Essence and the classic series Ultima Thule round the board with Arctica dishes to animate the dishes. It can also be very well fitted with the dishes Piilopaikka and its Christmas version Piilopaikka Pakkanen. Furthermore, Arabia added the color granite with some parts in autumn 2015.
