The 2018 summer line is called Going on vacation.
The Mumin family has decided to go on a summer vacation on an abandoned island. All pack the essentials such as swimwear, fishing rods and of course packed lunches.
This funny and fun summer story is filled with excitement and joy. The photos are based on original drawings from Tove Jansson’s book, Moomin’s Desert Island from 1955. The story is inspired by her own experience, but when she created Mumina Dad she had her father, Viktor “Faffan” Jansson in mind. Like Mum’s Dad, he loved the ocean, adventure and drinking whiskey.
